Fun Boating is with Family and Friends!
America’s Boating Club Atlanta (ABCA) members enjoy being on the water with their families and friends. The Club
holds monthly on-the-water events on Lake Lanier April through November, with fun, family raft-ups and theme parties and lots of opportunities for floating, sharing refreshments and great boating conversation. We also do an event on Lake Allatoona each year.
ABCA also enjoys trips to other wonderful boating destinations, either by trailering boats or by chartering boats on-site. Recent trips, usually a week in the spring and a long weekend in the fall, have included:
- Sections of the Intracoastal Waterway from NC to FL
- Tennessee River
- British Virgin Islands
- San Juan Islands in the Pacific Northwest
- Lake Jocassee in SC
Intracoastal Waterway on the west Florida coast
Roche Harbor, San Juan Island, Washington
Tennessee River south of Chattanooga, Tennessee
An active land-based social calendar adds to the fun of membership. Monthly meetings include a chance to enjoy meals in local restaurants with fellow members and hear speakers addressing topics of interest to local boaters. Other typical social events are the Chili Cookoff, civic service and volunteering and the Seafarer’s Ball caps the year with a festive holiday celebration. If you enjoy being with other boaters and forming friendships that last a lifetime, ABCA is the place for you!
